Experience

Dr Andrew Temperley is a Specialist Anaesthetist appointed to all major Newcastle private hospitals.

Andrew obtained his medical degree at the University of NSW & then completed internship & residency at St George Hospital Sydney. His initial specialist training in Anaesthesia was in England through the Sheffield Training program. Returning to Australia, Andrew continued his training in Newcastle & Adelaide.

Following the award of his specialist qualifications, he undertook post fellowship training in children’s anaesthesia at The Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children, Sydney.

Andrew works in a wide variety of clinical areas. His specific interests are paediatric anaesthesia, anaesthesia for ear, nose & throat surgery & anaesthesia for endoscopic procedures. He brings extensive training, experience & a calm reassuring manner.

For ongoing professional & educational support, he maintains memberships with the Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists & the Australian Society of Anaesthetists. 

Personal

Andrew enjoys camping, surfing & other outdoor pursuits with his family. He is also attempting to master the French language.
